The Villages offers recreation centers spread from north to south.
Indoors, many of recreation centers have several meeting rooms, and other facilities. The recreation centers are a meeting place for many of the clubs and other group activities for Villagers.
Most recreation centers have outdoor facilities including bocce, shuffleboard, and horseshoes.
Recreation Center Locations
There are three main types:
- Regional Recreation Complex
- Village Recreation Center
- Neighborhood Recreation Center
Regional Recreation Complex
The Regional Recreation Complexes are the largest of the recreation center types. There are multiple meeting rooms, arts & crafts rooms, a theater, and a pool. Outdoor facilities usually include a bocce court, a shuffleboard court, and a horseshoe pit.
Village Recreation Center
The Village Recreation Centers usually have meeting rooms, card rooms, a billiard hall, a kitchen, and a pool. Outdoor facilities usually include a bocce court, a shuffleboard court, and a horseshoe pit.
Neighborhood Recreation Center
The Neighborhood Recreation Centers often include an attached postal facility and a pool. Outdoor facilities usually include a bocce court, a shuffleboard court, and a horseshoe pit.
