Your Guide to Navigating The Villages

Who is the Tour for?

Many visitors to The Villages start with a lifestyle tour. The Villages focuses on selling new homes which are located primarily in the South. This is why most lifestyle tours are in the South.

If you are in the South it is unlikely that you will see much of the northern part of The Villages.

This guide provides driving instructions to see more of the variety in The Villages.

The tour of The Villages will take about 1 hour by car.

🗺️ The Tour Route

📍 Step 1: Start at Morse Blvd. (South at Hwy 44)

Begin your journey at the southern end of Morse Blvd., near Highway 44.

⬆️ Step 2: Head North on Morse Blvd.

  • Pass through the newer neighborhoods.
  • Between 466A and 466 is the most desirable area:
    • Close to Brownwood & Sumter Landing.
    • Easy access to golf and pickleball.
  • Sumter Landing is just before Highway 466.

🔁 Step 3: Turn Right onto Rio Grande Ave.

  • Head toward Spanish Springs Town Square.

⬅️ Step 4 Turn Left onto Avenida Central

  • Spanish Springs will be on your right.
  • The original “Family Compound” is on your left with a working security gate (likely).
  • You are traveling parallel to Highway 441.
  • The road curves and intersects with Highway 441.

⬅️ Step 5 Turn Left onto Highway 441

  • Observe the retail and commercial access along this stretch.
  • At the third traffic light, turn onto Buenos Aires Blvd.

⬅️ Step 6 Turn Left onto Buenos Aires Blvd.

  • Continue until the road ends at El Camino Real Blvd.

➡️ Step 7 Turn Right onto El Camino Real Blvd.

  • Travel east, about halfway between Highway 466 and Highway 42.
  • Continue ~3 miles to reach the Buena Vista roundabout.

➡️ Step 8 Turn Right (1st exit) at roundabout onto El Camino Real

  • Head north toward a small, hidden neighborhood worth seeing.
  • First opportunity to turn left is actually your RIGHT turn street.

➡️ Step 9 Turn Right into Avalos Drive

  • Welcome to Harmeswood of Belle Aire.
  • No shared amenities here, but it shows the variety of real estate options.
  • After your visit, exit back out to El Camino.

⬅️ Step 10 Turn Left onto Buena Vista Blvd.

  • Head south on this main internal boulevard (parallel to Morse Ave).
  • Polo Grounds will appear on your left.
  • You’ll approach Highway 466 again as you go south.
  • Pass the premier “Bridgeport” neighborhood on the left.
  • Press red gate button to drive through if desired.
  • Lake Sumter Landing will be on your left shortly after.
  • Note the architectural transition from older to newer neighborhoods.
  • Pass 466A, then 44A, just before reaching Highway 44.

➡️ Step 11 Turn Right at Torch Lake Dr. Roundabout

  • This will take you directly to Brownwood Town Square.
  • You’re now adjacent to Highway 44 — the tour concludes here!

🏁 End: Brownwood Town Square

Finish the tour near Highway 44 at Brownwood. Enjoy the restaurants, shops, and live music!
